Why have Counselling & therapy?

Counselling and Psychotherapy has a lot to offer you and has benefits to you at different stages of your life. Some are mental health and others can be performance.
The obvious would be in difficult times such as bereavement and transitional periods. Also when struggling with issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, work related stress, relationships conflicts, loneliness, self-destructive patterns etc. It could even be when something just does not feel right but you are struggling to put your finger on what it is, such as feeling "stuck".
Counselling can however be useful in terms with less difficulty. It can provide a consistent space to improve your self-awareness and self-confidence. This can have benefits such as increased balance, performance and decisive decision making. Increased self-awareness and psychoeducation can be very useful regarding relationships and interacting with others.

My work with clients is often varied and I work collaboratively to what the client is currently needing. This can include session structure, as some may only need short-term work, others may benefit from long-term work. Additionally I will use different skills and theories depending on what the client needs.
